The Swinburne Student Forum
The Swinburne Student Forum plays a vital role in SSA’s annual student engagement program – bringing together students from across the university to engage in meaningful dialogue, influence decisions, and shape initiatives that strengthen Swinburne student experience.
Guided by Swinburne’s Student Experience Framework, this initiative recognises students as active partners in shaping the learning, support, and social environments that define their Swinburne journey. It aims to create an inclusive space where students can share insights, raise challenges, and solutions that reflect the diverse needs of the Swinburne community.

Building on Semester 1
Earlier this year, we hosted the Representative Summit in Semester 1 — a focused forum where student leaders, SEAP/SWAP members, and academic stakeholders surfaced strategic concerns and aligned on key student-facing priorities.
The insights and outcomes from that summit have informed the planning of this upcoming Student Voice Summit, ensuring a continuous and responsive dialogue between students and the university.
Our Purpose
Build a culture of partnership, openness, and respect
Make the student voice central to university decisions
Foster collaboration across all campuses and cohorts
Deliver real, tangible improvements to student experience
Together, these forums form a crucial feedback loop between students, SSA, and the university—supporting transparent communication and the co-creation of initiatives that improve academic, social, and wellbeing outcomes.
At the end of the year, SSA will publish The Student Voice Annual Report, capturing the ideas raised, progress made, and how student input has helped shape real outcomes and actions.
