Design the New Swinburne Mascot
Show your creativity. Win $5,000. Shape Swinburne’s identity.
Calling all creatives! Swinburne is on the lookout for a brand-new mascot – and it could be your design that becomes the face of Swinburne at major events for years to come.
As we celebrate the newly formed student-led Swinburne Student Association, we invite students, staff and alumni to design a mascot that reflects the diversity, energy and innovation of our university community.
Whether cheering at sporting events, representing us nationally, or making appearances across campus – this mascot will be a unifying figure for students and staff alike.

The Theme
"People and technology working together for a better world"
Your design should reflect the university’s commitment to improving the world by bringing people and technology together. Think of aspiring personal interests and newly developed passions that culminate in the nirvana of being paid to do what you love.
Thought starters for a design that invokes the possibilities available at Swinburne could include:
A mascot that reflects how science and health disciplines can create sporting achievements on the international stage that inspire others to achieve greatness.
A mascot that reflects how innovation in Artificial Intelligence enables film, television and media to create entertainment that educates and inspires the world.
A mascot that reflects how science, engineering and aviation can unite the world in the exploration of space.
A mascot that exemplifies the ideal combination of science, law, and design to create sustainable transportation systems and fuels.
A mascot that reflects driving the eradication of world inequality and hunger through sustainable and free health and food solutions.
