Committee Member of the Year

The Committee Member of the Year Award, presented as part of the SSA Student Life Awards, recognises an outstanding club committee member who has demonstrated initiative, personal growth and a meaningful commitment to improving the student experience at Swinburne.
Eligible committee members must submit a self-nomination to be considered for this award.
You must demonstrate:
Initiative in developing the member experience
Continued learning and reflection
A meaningful contribution to the student experience
Selection Criteria
1. How have you contributed to the growth and development of your club?
2. Describe a time when you demonstrated effective communication within your club committee, with club members or with the wider University community.
3. Describe a challenge you faced in your committee role and how you worked through it successfully.
4. What new skills or behaviours have you developed through your leadership role, and how have they shaped your growth as a leader?
5. How have you contributed to an exceptional student experience for your fellow members and the wider Swinburne community?
Selection Process
Committee members must self-nominate and provide the required nomination information. An assessment panel will review the submissions and shortlist the top three finalists.
The winner will be selected by the panel and announced at the SSA Student Life Awards Night.
