Cultural and Spiritual Club of the Year

The Club of the Year Cultural and Spiritual Award, presented as part of the SSA Student Life Awards, recognises an outstanding SSA-registered cultural or spiritual club that has delivered an engaging and inclusive member experience, demonstrated strong governance and teamwork, and made a meaningful contribution to the Swinburne community.

Cultural and spiritual clubs must submit a self-nomination to be considered for this award.

Your club must demonstrate: 

• A varied and engaging membership offering

• Good governance and teamwork

• A meaningful contribution to the Swinburne community

SELECTION CRITERIA 

Varied and engaging membership offering 

1. How has your club developed and delivered a varied and engaging calendar of events and activities, and engaged members in achieving the club’s mission and goals?

Good governance and teamwork 

2. Describe a challenge your club worked through this year and how the committee used teamwork and collaboration to succeed.

3. What are the committee’s major learnings from this year, and how will these shape the club’s approach over the next 12 months?

Meaningful contribution to the Swinburne community 

4. How has your club contributed to meaningful outcomes for the Swinburne or wider community? Please describe the impact.

Selection Process

Clubs must self-nominate and provide the required nomination information and video. A judging panel will review the submissions and shortlist the finalists. Finalist videos will then be released, and Swinburne students will vote to determine the category winner.

The winner of the Club of the Year Cultural and Spiritual Award will also be considered for the Overall Club of the Year Award and celebrated at the SSA Student Life Awards Night.
