Event of the Year

The Event of the Year Award, presented as part of the SSA Student Life Awards, recognises an outstanding club event that successfully engaged members, supported the club’s goals and created a meaningful impact within the Swinburne or wider community.

Clubs must submit a self-nomination for the event to be considered for this award.

Eligibility

All self-nominated club events are eligible for consideration.

Selection Criteria

1. Describe the event, including who was involved, what took place, where and when it was held, why it was organised and how it was delivered.

2. How did the event engage club members and support the mission and goals of your club?

3. Describe a challenge your club experienced while planning or delivering the event and how it was managed successfully.

4. How did the event contribute to meaningful outcomes for the Swinburne or wider community?

Selection Process

Eligible nominated events will be included in a student vote. The event that receives the most verified votes will be named the Event of the Year.

The winner will be announced and celebrated at the SSA Student Life Awards Night.
