Student Life Awards 2026

The Student Life Awards Night celebrate the outstanding achievements of clubs, athletes, committee members and volunteers who make Swinburne a vibrant, inclusive and inspiring community.

These awards recognise students and clubs that have demonstrated strong leadership, teamwork, sporting achievement and meaningful contributions to the Swinburne community throughout 2026.

Whether you are part of a club, serve on a committee, compete in sport or contribute to student life, these awards are an opportunity to be recognised for the positive impact you have made.

Timeline and Process

Nominations for Major and Specialty Awards will close on 9 October.
- A panel consisting of the Events & Experience Coordinator, a University Appointed SSA Board Director and the Outgoing SSA President will review nominations and select the finalists and winners of each award (where relevant) in Mid-October.
Submissions for People's Choice Award will close on 9 October.
- Short videos produced by clubs will be released on 13 October in which students can vote for the People's Choice Award until the 21st of October.
Winners will all be announced on 12 November at the Student Life Awards Night.

Major Awards

The four Club of the Year categories (Academic, Cultural & Spiritual, Social, Sports) plus the overall Club of the Year. Clubs self-nominate; a panel selects the top two finalists per category.
